Cleaner Shrimp cleaning Spotnape Cardinalfish - Kenting.jpg
Kenting, Taiwan -- A cleaner shrimp is cleaning the mouth of a spotnape cardinalfish.

This is one of the tiny everyday spectacles nature has to offer.

The cleaner shrimp hangs out at a cleaning station, to which the fish come to have their mouths and dentures cleaned. Think dentist clinic under water!

The fish perform a certain motion to indicate that they need cleaning and patiently queue up for the 'dentist' to do its job.
Even big fearsome predators like moray eels often live in symbiosis with cleaner shrimps, which perform a valuable service for the health of their 'patients'.
