Nudibranch Hypselodoris apolegma - Kenting (17-21Feb10) C 157_2.jpg
Kenting, Taiwan -- The nudibranch Hypselodoris apolegma in a successful attempt to bridge the gap between two rocks.
This is one of my favorite shots, mainly because I spent a good 15 minutes trying to get it while my dive buddies were already heading back to shore.
The nudibranch tried many times to advance by bridging the gap between the two rocks, only to be dislodged again by the considerable current at the time.
As it struggled on, so did I, trying to brace myself and hold the camera steady enough to obtain a decent macro shot of the mollusk's valiant efforts.
In the end we both succeeded.
